Human Resource Assistant
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Human Resource Assistant to join our team in Uasin Gishu County. The ideal candidate will support the HR department in recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, compliance, and general HR administration. This role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment Support: Help post job ads, review applications, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
- Onboarding: Prepare documents, conduct orientation, and ensure new hires have what they need to settle in.
- Employee Records: Keep accurate records of employee details, including changes like promotions, leaves, and exits.
- Payroll Assistance: Share timely and accurate attendance, leave, and overtime data with the payroll team.
- Training Coordination: Organize training sessions and keep records of employee participation.
- Employee Support: Answer basic HR-related questions and support good communication between staff and management.
- Performance Reviews: Help with scheduling and record-keeping for performance evaluations.
- Compliance: Make sure HR practices follow labor laws and company policies.
- Reporting: Create regular reports on staff numbers, turnover, leave balances, and training.
- Engagement: Help plan staff events and programs to boost morale and productivity.
- Exit Process: Support resignations, exit interviews, and proper handovers.
- Admin Support: Handle general HR admin tasks like filing, emails, and meeting scheduling.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2–3 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year in an HR Assistant or similar role
= Good knowledge of HR principles and employment laws
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
