I worked on customization of registration forms and various forms in OpenMRS (http://www.openmrs.org) to fit the requirements for Soddo Hospital in soddo, Ethiopia, making use of Angular JS and Java, which is the main language that OpenMRS is built on. I was also responsible for devops that included deployment and setup of the servers and the system in Soddo.
The system was to solve the problem of having manual registration for patients in the clinic. The system now manages to handle registration, clinic appointments and input of diagnosis of patients easing the doctors access to patient information through both mobile and cloud. This elimination of paper based forms has increased the effectiveness of clerks to retrieve historical data for patients and managing of their clinic appointments.
